Connecting bank accounts and paying invoices

Connect FinTS bank accounts, fetch transactions, match incoming payments automatically, and pay supplier invoices straight from Accountix.

What the bank connection does

Accountix talks to your bank directly over the German FinTS interface - no third-party aggregator in between. That enables three things:

Connecting an account

Under Bank accounts → Connect account, your IBAN and online-banking credentials are all that is needed. The bank code and the FinTS endpoint are derived from the IBAN - Accountix ships a directory of more than 1,700 institutions for this. During setup you pick the TAN method (for example the SecureGo app); the bank confirms the connection once.

Every account belongs to a company. The Payments page, the transfer dialog, and the reports always show the active company's accounts.

Matching incoming payments

Incoming credits are compared against open invoices (amount, payment reference, invoice number). On a clear match the invoice is marked paid; on a near match the Payments page proposes the assignment and you confirm with one click.

Paying supplier invoices

An incoming invoice with a supplier IBAN on file shows "Pay now":

  1. Choose the account - the current balance is fetched live; if it does not cover the amount, the dialog warns you.
  2. Accountix submits the SEPA transfer to your bank.
  3. The bank requests a TAN or app approval if required; once confirmed, the invoice is marked paid.

Security

Banking credentials are stored encrypted and used exclusively for the FinTS connection to your bank. Every transfer requires approval through your bank's TAN method - without that approval, Accountix cannot move money.
